Dressed To Impress!

Dressed to impress! Hand-crafted salad dressing using high quality, organic ingredients, takes an ordinary green salad to a whole other level of freshness!

A simple base for almost dressing is:

-1/2 cup oil (evoo or mayonnaise for a creamy style)

-2 tablespoons sweetener (honey, maple syrup or agave)

-1/3 cup vinegar (or other acid like lime, lemon or orange)

-herbs & spices (dried or fresh) and salt for flavor

Mix all together -will yield approximately 1 cup

Here are 3 dressing recipes to try out on your next salad:

Vegan Ranch Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw cashews

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/3 cup peeled and diced cucumber

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • 1/4 tsp dried dill

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper

  • 1/2 tsp salt, or more to taste

  • fresh chives or green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

  • In a high-speed blender, place the cashews, water, cucumber, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and all of the seasonings and blend until completely smooth and creamy.

  • Season to taste with more salt and pepper if desired. Sprinkle with fresh chives or green onions and serve on your favorite salad, or use as a dip for veggies!

Creamy Sesame Tahini Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 3 tbsp water, more if needed

  • 2 tbsp orange juice

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil

  • 1 small garlic clove, grated

  • 1/4 tsp salt. or more to taste

Instructions:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, water, orange juice, olive oil, maple syrup, sesame oil, garlic, and salt until smooth.

  • If the dressing is too thick, add more water, ½ tablespoon at a time, until it’s a drizzleable consistency. Great on almost any salad, as well as roasted veggies and grain bowls!

Honey Mustard Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp raw honey

  • 1 small garlic clove, grated or minced

  • 1/4 tsp salt, or more to taste

  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper

Instructions:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard, olive oil, vinegar, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper. For a creamier consistency, whisk in a little plain yogurt or sour cream. Delicious on green salads or a tasty dipping sauce for chicken!
